Villa Pergolone is located in Capannori, Lucca Province, in the hills south of Lucca. It is close to Florence, Pisa and the beach and a perfect vacation retreat to explore Tuscany or simply relax at the pool and garden area.

Villa Pergolone is a beautifully converted 11th century hay barn, located in the hills south of Lucca in a small hamlet and easily accessible by car via a quiet road. It’s a 12min drive to the famous Lucca city walls. Lucca is a typical and pleasant Tuscan town, not as touristy as Pisa or Florence.
The house has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a cosy living room with fireplace. It sleeps 7 persons comfortably and we have an extra baby travel cot. The kitchen is large and well-equipped. You can sit inside at a large table or outside under the pergola on the terrace. Laundry with washer/dryer is available. There are books and board games for children and a large trampoline with safety nets. Supermarket, butcher, restaurants are within a few minutes walk or drive.
The property has a large 2,000 sqm garden and safe parking on the property. We built a stunning new 10x5m swimming pool nestled among the 24 olive trees in 2016.
The house is a great base from which to explore Tuscany, being 30min from Pisa, 45min from Florence, 1:15h from Cinque Terre and 1:30h from Siena. Beaches are just 30min away (Viareggio). Activities in the local area include trekking, mountain biking and sampling the fabulous local cuisine and wine. The area is well-known for its quality olive-oil and natural spring water.
